Historical Dance Competition For Young People 2005-2006
Devise and present a dance performance suitable to entertain
Queen Elizabeth I, the last Tudor monarch (reigned 1558-1603)
or
Queen Victoria (reigned 1837-1901)
or
to cheer up a local community during the Second World War (1939-1945)
The performance should be given in suitable costume and with appropriate music and words to set the scene in its historical context. It should last from five to not longer than ten minutes.
There will be regional heats and a national final, judged by leading figures from the fields of dance, history and music.
