On May 3rd, dance historian Barbara Segal discussed the finer points of Renaissance Dancing (34MB, duration 37 mins) from theatrical extravaganzas across Europe. She chose music from Emilio de’ Cavalieri, Robert Johnson and many others whose names have not come down to us.
On May 10th, Philippa Waite looked at the various styles of Baroque Dance (19MB, duration 20 mins) with excerpts from Lully, JS Bach, Handel, Weiss, Rebel and Rameau.
