See Baroque Dance at the Suffolk Villages Festival 28 August
In the morning Lecture Demonstration at 11:00 am, Ricardo Barros, Barbara Segal and violinist Nicolette Moonen will be bringing the world of Baroque dance vividly to life as part of the Suffolk Villages Festival at St Peter’s, Sudbury.
At 6:30 pm, the dancers are joined by the regular team of SVF soloists, choir and orchestra in a special programme: Handel’s rarely performed Terpsicore (1734), concertos and songs, and 2 spectacular song and dance numbers — the Passacaglia from Purcell’s King Arthur and the Chaconne from Grabu’s Albion and Albanius (1685). Passion, jealousy and Restoration fun galore!
