Peggy Dixon

At first a student of Wendy Hilton, Peggy quickly absorbed her teaching and went on to establish an illustrious ground-breaking career, encouraging many many others along the way.

She made huge contributions in research, teaching and choreography, including the formation and leadership of Nonsuch History and Dance.

Dances from the Courts of Europe, a long series of eight books and tapes covering the Nonsuch Core Curriculum, passed on her dedication to another generation and continues to do so. Peggy Dixon was a founder member of the EDC.

She was a great lady who inspired people, by her example, to dance with more grace and dignity than they thought possible.
